Estée Lauder Acquires Rodin Olio Lusso

Two buys, one month. Not too bad for giant Estee Lauder Cos. Inc. WWD has reported that the company, which just bought fragrance brand Le Labo earier this month, has purchased Linda Rodin's luxury skin care brand Rodin Olio Lusso which translates to Rodin Luxury Oil. Lauder is keeping up with competitor L'Oreal by expanding its portfolio of brands and oils are a growing category in skin care.

The former fashion editor, model, and stylist who started the company, was on the hunt for a simple skincare solution when she began her beauty venture. In 2007, after two years of mixing essential oils in her kitchen, Rodin had the original Rodin Olio Lusso Face Oil that would become a cult favorite.

Details of the acquisition we not disclosed, but it is reported that Rodin will stay onboard to continue to oversee the brand.
