F Yeah, Flats
Full disclosure: I love Inès de la Fressange. While I was reading her interview with Vogue I laughed at her bluntness but also agreed with her sentiments. She basically says the French way of doing the red carpet is to be effortlessly chic, something French women are notoriously good at, and a subtle approach to accessorizing is key. Meaning extravagant shoes and jewelry are so obviously borrowed while dainty jewelry and flats are more true to one’s style. I’m digging this bit of fashion philosophy, but then again Inès can do no wrong in my eyes.
